XTREME SIGNS (WEST SUSSEX) LTD – TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. General
1.1. These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, orders and bookings made with Xtreme Signs (West Sussex) Ltd (“the Company”).
1.2. No variation or amendment shall be binding unless agreed in writing by an authorised representative of the Company.
1.3. The Company reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on request or published online.
2. Quotations & Orders
2.1. All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
2.2. Acceptance of a quotation or placement of an order, constitutes agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
2.3. The Company reserves the right to revise quotations if costs of materials, labour or other expenses increase prior to commencement of the job.
3. Deposits & Payment Terms
3.1. A deposit of up to 50% may be required before work commences.
3.2. All invoices are due for payment within 7 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.3. Late payments will incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, calculated at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, plus reasonable recovery costs.
3.4. The Company reserves the right to withhold or delay completion of any project until outstanding balances are paid in full.
4. Cancellations & Non-Attendance
4.1. If a booking is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the agreed start time or if the customer fails to attend or make the premises accessible at the scheduled time, a minimum charge of £125.00 + VAT will apply to cover travel, labour and administrative costs.
4.2. If preparatory work has already been undertaken (e.g., printing, vinyl cutting, artwork setup), additional charges may apply.
4.3. Repeated late cancellations or non-attendance may result in suspension of future bookings until full settlement of outstanding amounts.
5. Material Costs & Project-Specific Expenses
5.1. For any bespoke or custom-made materials ordered specifically for the job, if the project is not rebooked within 14 days, the Company reserves the right to charge up to 75% of the total quoted job price to recover costs incurred.
5.2. Where materials have been printed, cut or manufactured to order, the Company may charge the full cost of such materials, even if the installation does not proceed.
6. Artwork, Proofs & Approvals
6.1. It is the customer’s responsibility to check all artwork proofs carefully before giving approval.
6.2. Once approval has been given (verbally, in writing or electronically), the Company will not be liable for any errors or omissions subsequently discovered.
6.3. Amendments requested after approval may be subject to additional charges.
7. Installation & Site Requirements
7.1. The customer must ensure that installation sites are safe, accessible and free from obstruction.
7.2. Where access equipment (e.g., scaffolding or cherry pickers) is required, this must be arranged or approved by the Company in advance and may incur additional costs.
7.3. The Company shall not be liable for any delays caused by restricted access, adverse weather conditions or issues outside of its control.
8. Liability & Warranty
8.1. The Company warrants that all goods and materials supplied will be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose under normal conditions.
8.2. The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use or installation of its products.
8.3. Warranty claims are limited to repair or replacement of the defective product at the Company’s discretion and do not cover damage caused by misuse, poor maintenance or external factors (e.g., vandalism or extreme weather).
9. Retention of Title
9.1. All goods remain the property of Xtreme Signs (West Sussex) Ltd until payment has been received in full.
9.2. The Company reserves the right to recover goods or remove signage if payment terms are breached.
10. Enforcement & Acceptance
10.1. By placing an order, booking a service or making payment of any invoice, the customer confirms acceptance of and agreement to these Terms & Conditions.
10.2. The Company reserves the right to enforce these terms without exception.
10.3. These Terms & Conditions form an integral part of every quotation, booking and order placed with Xtreme Signs (West Sussex) Ltd.
