Simple and reflective van sign writing for C.Cooke Carpentry & Renovations

Charlie Cooke of C.Cooke Carpentry & Renovations popped into our reception a while back to discuss his van sign writing. Charlie had a logo design already with tints of grey and a highlight colour. His long wheel base VW transporter matched his grey colour scheme, so Charlie wanted subtle sign writing to reflect his branding:

Advice and expertise

Here at Xtreme Signs we like to help as much as possible to realise your design visions. An early design was approved by Charlie using a large double ‘C’ from his name and logo, but Charlie wasn’t sure about colours to use. Offering a large variety of vinyl colour samples to choose from we suggested two designs, one featuring a bright orange to make the design and name ‘pop’, and a second using reflective white and chrome to really stand out from the crowd, whilst having muted colours as the background.

Light it up!

The final van sign writing uses four colours of vinyl, a Komatsu Grey and Tele Grey used for the large letters C taking up the whole of the sides. These are low-key enough to allow detailing over the top, and also look like tints of his grey van. The first ‘C’ in his logo is Chrome to distinguish it from the surname. We then added an xtreme addition… all the details are in a reflective white. This design looks understated in the daylight, even slightly grey – but obviously ‘lights’ up at night!
